Making a house a home, one project at a time.

When Kurt Siso became a first-time homeowner in 2013, he quickly learned that making a house a home would require a lot of work. From clearing overgrown bushes to installing GFCI outlets, mounting TVs, hanging curtain rods, removing a garbage disposal, and fixing the front walkway, Kurt got to work. Trying to stick to a budget and make sure things were done right, he reached out to friends and family who specialized in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing for advice and guidance to complete the tasks.

Though he had little knowledge on home improvement, Kurt began to learn the skills needed to get almost any job done. From smaller tasks like installing toilets, moving a ceiling fan, and adding a dimmer switch, to larger tasks like adding a second bathroom, building a custom playhouse for his kids, and adding wood planking and recessed lighting to his vaulted ceilings, he has helped to transform his house into a home, one project at a time.

After becoming a licenced REALTOR® in 2017, Kurt took his expertise in homes to the next level by helping others with their real estate needs. Through years of assisting clients with the real estate process and inspections, he began to see how often a contractor was needed for home repairs. But due to the increased desire for home improvement projects during the COVID years, finding a reputable contractor who wasn’t backlogged with jobs was becoming increasingly difficult; finding one who could complete a small project timely and affordably felt downright impossible.

To assist his buyers and sellers with items that needed attention, Kurt began using the knowledge and experience he gained from his years as a homeowner fixing and updating his home. To say his clients were grateful is an understatement! It was then that Kurt had a lightbulb moment. He formed Siso Handyman Services as an opportunity to provide these types of services to all homeowners.

In addition to being a handyman and REALTOR®, Kurt holds a BS in Business Administration. He resides in Phoenixville with his wife, Jess, and their two sons.
